Ira3D®, a brand new Italian company founded in 2014, just released their first 3D printer, the Poetry2. This is a fused filament fabrication printer, easy to use and designed for professionals. There are a couple of features that make this printer a very interesting one. The build volume of 250x250x300 mm ables this 3D printer to print bigger than most desktop 3D printers currently on the market. Also, the printer has a high accuracy of 30 microns (0,03mm) layer height and a print speed of 250mm/s.
But, the best feature of the printer might well be the integrated dual extruder. This extrudes allows the printer to easily build bridges, supports and print in multiple color. Due to its anti-blockage system, the extrusion problems are reduced to a minimum.
In the wide range of materials compatible with the Poetry2, ABS, PLA and Nylon are the most common, in addition to several Ira3D® labeled filaments, created and optimized for the Poetry2 are the H-Limofy® (a support material soluble in Limonene), Gummify® (flexible and elastic), and a growing Ira3D® special filaments collection which you can find here.
“We focused a lot on the product performances. The customers were looking for the opportunity to print bigger and defined projects, with a perfect resolution and a higher working speed, but without boundaries set by the one-color or one-material only printing process… the greatest innovation was being able to offer all of this while keeping the price aligned with the other professional 3D printers on the market. The result has been achieved through what is called “Tengri System”, the core of the printer. It is the system implemented by Ira3D® which allowed the evolution of performances without increasing costs to the customers” – Alessandro Padrin, Ira3D® CEO.
The Poetry2® is already available for purchase on the Ira3D® website at the competitive price of €1749 ($1881USD), for the single extruder version, and at €1849 ($1990USD) for the dual- extruder.
